The 11th BRICS Energy Ministers Meeting was held in Gurugram, India on June 25. Wan Jinsong, head of China's National Energy Administration, was invited to attend and deliver a speech.

Wan noted that the global energy transition is deepening, and China continues to build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, having established the world's largest clean energy system. He emphasized that China will assume the BRICS presidency in 2027, during which it will continue to advocate true multilateralism, adhere to the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and consensus, and work with BRICS countries to pragmatically promote high-quality development of energy cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties adopted outcome documents including the Joint Communiqué of the 11th BRICS Energy Ministers Meeting. Officials from the International Department of China's National Energy Administration accompanied the meeting.
