The energy regulatory body of Shandong Province has dispatched work teams to five cities, including Dezhou and Liaocheng, to carry out supervision and service for energy and power supply during the summer peak. This action is aimed at implementing the supply assurance deployment of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, as well as the work arrangements of the provincial party committee and government.
The teams focused on four key factors affecting stable power supply: the implementation of the national summer peak energy supply video conference spirit and related mechanism construction, preparation for power supply assurance, operation of directly dispatched public units and coal stockpile conditions, and power safety management. They held discussions with relevant government departments and energy and power enterprises, and conducted on-site visits to grid dispatching, power generation operations, coal storage facilities, and key power source project construction sites to assess situations, summarize shortcomings, study measures, and urge improvements.
The teams also conveyed requirements: all cities and units must study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on energy security, carry out national and provincial supply assurance deployments, consolidate responsibilities, strengthen coordination, enhance monitoring and early warnings, refine measures, ensure safe production, and proactively handle all aspects of summer peak energy and power supply to support high-quality economic and social development and people's livelihoods.
Moving forward, the Shandong Energy Regulatory Office will closely monitor supply and demand conditions, fulfill its regulatory duties, and make every effort to ensure safe and reliable energy and power supply.
