During the first half of 2026, the Xinjiang Energy Regulatory Office handled 541 power business qualification licenses, a 51.5% increase from the same period last year. All services received positive feedback, and the average processing time was cut to 3.1 days through standardized online procedures.
To support new energy development, the office tracked the construction progress of 'Shagehuang' new energy bases monthly, engaging with companies in advance and providing guidance on license applications. In the first half, it issued power business licenses to 54 new energy firms, representing a total installed capacity of 26.5349 GW.
On the regulatory front, the office conducted full-coverage reviews of 180 companies during and after the process, and revoked the licenses of 30 companies that failed to meet requirements even after rectification. It aims to build a standardized and fair market access system for the power sector.
