The Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) has issued a series of standards and documents related to water pollutant discharge this week. Among them, the Technical Guideline for Formulating Water Pollutant Discharge Standards for Centralized Wastewater Treatment Facilities in Industrial Parks (HJ 945.4–2026) was formulated and released by the MEE to provide technical guidance for setting discharge standards for such facilities.

Two additional standards were jointly issued by the MEE and the State Administration for Market Regulation. One is the Water Pollutant Discharge Standard for the Chishui River Basin (GB 47945–2026), which specifically targets the basin. The other is an amendment to the Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Medical Organization (GB 18466-2005), modifying the existing standard.
