As of noon on July 12, the information and communications sector had dispatched 68,000 emergency personnel and 24,000 emergency communication vehicles to maintain network operations during Typhoons Maysak and Bavi.

In addition, 31,000 generator units, 130 satellite phones, and 27 drones were deployed for emergency communications, and 330 million warning text messages were sent. A total of 11,000 damaged base stations were restored to service.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology directed telecommunications administrations in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangxi to carry out disaster prevention and relief efforts, requiring enhanced coordination, improved contingency plans, and strengthened duty shifts. The ministry also mobilized national emergency communication support teams and equipment, and activated 5G inter-network roaming services to support flood control command and disaster area communication needs.
