Hebei University of Technology President Wang Limin stated that the university has defined three major work orientations for serving Hebei: strengthening science and technology innovation by 'R&D in Beijing-Tianjin and transformation in Hebei,' cultivating talent through 'educating in Tianjin and empowering in Hebei,' and expanding international science-education cooperation via 'extending outward from Tianjin and integrating within Hebei.'
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the university was approved to establish two national key laboratories, added 18 research platforms at various levels, and now has a total of 72 research platforms. The number of approved NSFC projects has remained at around 100 per year for six consecutive years, and the number of major national key projects has increased by 143% compared to the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The university co-established China’s first international modern commerce and logistics college with JD Group, co-built national-level modern industrial colleges with Great Wall Motor and CATARC (Tianjin), and set up 344 internship and practice bases with enterprises such as State Grid and HBIS Group. Among its undergraduate enrollment, 70% are from within the province. Each year, nearly 40% of graduates stay to work in Hebei, and about 90% of professionals in key fields remain in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In 2025, the university provided skills training to over 15,000 person-times targeting Hebei.
Northeast Forestry University Party Secretary Sun Meng stated that the university has built China’s first bachelor-master-doctor integrated curriculum system for ecological civilization education and uses its Maoershan and Liangshui experimental forest farms for distinctive ecological practices. The university was the first among agricultural and forestry universities to set up emerging majors such as agricultural and forestry intelligent equipment engineering and smart landscape construction, founded China’s first forestry future technology college, established the first ecology college among northeastern universities, and implemented the nationwide 'Forestry Support Program' to select students for frontline forestry work.
Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine Party Secretary Huang Jiawen proposed promoting the entry of research questions into clinical settings and clinical cases into classrooms to form a virtuous cycle of 'teaching-research-clinical practice,' and advancing R&D in intelligent TCM technologies. Jinan Vocational College Party Secretary Yin Yuanhua introduced that the Jinan Intelligent Manufacturing and High-end Equipment Industry-Education Consortium has achieved substantive operation, appointed 187 industry professors to teach at the college, seconded 23 teachers to serve as enterprise deputy general managers for technology, built one regional industry-education integration practice center, and co-established eight industrial colleges by schools and enterprises.
Beijing Xicheng District Education Commission Director Cai Dongmei disclosed that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the district added 64,600 primary and secondary school seats through various channels, formed 21 education groups and one boutique school alliance covering all primary and secondary schools, fully assumed childcare functions, and established an integrated childcare-kindergarten operation mechanism. Hebei Xiong'an New Area Education Bureau Director Li Yujin stated that 85 schools in Xiong'an have been paired with 83 high-quality schools in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, adopting a two-way model of stationing renowned teachers from Beijing and Tianjin in the new area and sending local backbone teachers to Beijing for further study, while importing digital education resources from Beijing.
Tianjin Heping District Education Bureau Deputy Director Feng Yaozhong pointed out that the district added over 18,000 compulsory education seats in the past three years, with annual teacher exchange and rotation ratios exceeding 80%, and it launched AI general knowledge courses in primary and secondary schools and built 'AI+Classroom' model schools. Tianjin Normal University Affiliated Experimental School Principal Deng Wenjuan introduced that the school relies on Tianjin Normal University's resources to promote coordination among universities, primary, and secondary schools, with young teachers winning over 20 awards in competitions at all levels over the past year and students winning over 70 awards. Hebei Hengshui High School Party Secretary Xi Huisuo said the school has signed specific assistance agreements with county-level schools such as Wuqiang County and Shenzhou City, and established Hengzhong Cloud School to share high-quality educational resources.
