Zhejiang University Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Jilin Campus Opens, Bringing Jilin's National Regional Medical Centers to Four

Jilin Province has secured four national regional medical center projects. The Zhejiang University School of Medicine Affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Jilin Campus commenced operations on April 23, 2026, with 168 expert dispatches and 91 training sessions covering 6,027 medical staff by end-May 2026, enabling local patients to access high-quality care.

A new national regional medical center project has been launched in Jilin Province. The Zhejiang University School of Medicine Affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Jilin Campus (ZJU Obstetrics Hospital Jilin Campus) officially opened on April 23, 2026. The campus is a Grade III, Class A public hospital jointly established by the Zhejiang University School of Medicine Affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and the Changchun Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.

Jilin Province has now successfully secured four national regional medical center projects.

The hospital adopts a flexible staffing mechanism combining long-term residency, regular dispatches, mobile support, and flexible recruitment to transfer management, technology, and brand expertise from Zhejiang to Jilin. By the end of May 2026, a total of 168 medical, technical, nursing, and management experts had been dispatched, covering obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, pelvic floor disorders, and reproductive medicine.

In terms of training, 91 homogenization training sessions and nearly 100 academic lectures have been conducted, reaching 6,027 medical professionals across Northeast China.

The hospital prioritizes critical maternal and neonatal care and performs level III and IV gynecological surgeries and minimally invasive procedures. It has achieved full coverage of surgeries for all five major gynecologic malignancies and made a breakthrough in assisted reproductive technology in the region. Leveraging the national "Cloud Maternity and Child Care" platform, a remote multi-disciplinary consultation channel spanning 2,400 kilometers has been established to provide personalized treatment plans.

The Jilin Provincial Development and Reform Commission stated it will continue to support the hospital's operations, strengthen policy support and coordination, and help introduce more Zhejiang technology and ZJU protocols to serve Jilin and the broader Northeast China region, aiming to build a leading obstetrics and gynecology clinical and research center.
