The Anhui Development and Reform Commission led the first provincial railway development coordination meeting on the afternoon of July 9. Participants included China Railway Shanghai Group, Wangan Railway Anhui Company, Anhui Railway Group, Hefei Railway Hub Project Construction Headquarters, and representatives from relevant municipal development and reform commissions.
Chaired by Zhong Lan, deputy director of the provincial commission, the meeting involved reports on major matters requiring coordination and in-depth discussions. The parties agreed on work measures and plans, formally establishing a regular coordination mechanism between the provincial government and railway authorities.
The meeting stressed that annual priorities must center on ensuring project starts and line openings. To achieve this, it called for detailed milestone plans and clear accountability, pledging full support for the start of major projects such as the Fuyang-Huangshan high-speed railway, and for the opening of the Huaibei-Bengbu, Huaibei-Fuyang, and Chaohu-Ma'anshan high-speed railways.
To address implementation challenges, a closed-loop resolution mechanism was proposed, requiring comprehensive identification of difficulties, clear timelines, and item-by-item resolution, to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient project delivery and investment completion.
