The Shaanxi Communications Administration recently held a meeting to deploy emergency communication support for flood control and disaster relief during the critical period. The meeting emphasized that the provincial information and communication industry must firmly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on flood control, and adhere to the concept of "people first, life first" with bottom-line thinking.
The meeting required all basic telecom enterprises to strictly fulfill their primary responsibilities, continuously carry out risk identification and rectification, strengthen communication facility protection, and enhance network resilience. Emergency communication equipment ledgers must be established, and grassroots backup communication equipment must be consolidated to ensure personnel and equipment are available at critical moments. A 24/7 duty system with leadership shifts must be enforced, with rapid response, effective handling, and timely, accurate information reporting.
The meeting also studied the workflow and specifications for 5G inter-network roaming in emergency scenarios across the province, and determined a plan for a full-service live drill. The drill is intended to test the cross-enterprise coordination capability of 5G inter-network roaming in actual operations. Relevant department heads and representatives from the basic telecom enterprises attended.
