The Siping New Industrialization Economic Development Zone has been included in the first batch of national-level zero-carbon parks, with construction work progressing comprehensively. The park was developed under the guidance of the Jilin Provincial Development and Reform Commission to address issues such as high energy consumption and a single energy structure in traditional industrial zones.
Nineteen companies have settled in the park, including six above-scale enterprises. Thirty-nine key energy-carbon, infrastructure, and industrial projects are underway, with a total investment of 27.334 billion yuan.
In the energy sector, the park is setting up an integrated energy system combining wind, solar, hydrogen, storage, and agriculture, and cultivating a characteristic industrial chain of "green hydrogen—methanol—fine chemicals." A smart energy-carbon management platform has also been established for real-time monitoring, intelligent analysis, and early risk warning of energy consumption and carbon emission data.
The Jilin Provincial Development and Reform Commission stated that it will continue to support the Siping New Development Zone in improving its zero-carbon industrial ecosystem, using green industrial transformation to boost high-quality economic development across the province.
