General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President Xi Jinping met with Cambodian People's Party President and Senate President Hun Sen at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi put forward four proposals for deepening China-Cambodia relations.

On cementing strategic mutual trust, Xi said China is ready to deepen party-to-party exchanges and share governance experience to jointly improve governing capacity.

Regarding development and revitalization, Xi noted that both sides should push for substantive progress on the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor," and fully unleash the potential of the China-Cambodia Free Trade Agreement so that practical cooperation yields more benefits for people's livelihoods.

On safeguarding national security, Xi stressed China's willingness to establish a security partnership with Cambodia and commended Cambodia's resolve and actions in cracking down on telecom and online fraud. Both sides agreed to continue efforts to completely root out the "scourge" of telecom fraud.

Xi also called for building a model of strategic coordination, appreciating Cambodia's adherence to the one-China principle and its early support for major concepts and initiatives proposed by China.

During the meeting, Hun Sen said he fully agreed with Xi's positive assessment of the ironclad friendship and the building of a community with a shared future. He thanked China for supporting Cambodia's chosen development path and stressed that regardless of changes in the international situation, Cambodia will always uphold its friendly policy toward China, firmly adhere to the one-China principle, and support China in achieving complete national reunification.

Hun Sen also said Cambodia is ready to align its Pentagonal Strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative, and deepen cooperation in economy, security, defense, and culture. Cracking down on telecom fraud is a current priority for Cambodia, and the country is willing to closely cooperate with China on law enforcement against telecom fraud. The Cambodian People's Party also stands ready to work with the Communist Party of China to implement a new memorandum on party exchanges to support the building of the Cambodia-China community with a shared future.

Wang Yi attended the meeting.
