CALB's integrated plant in Changfeng, Anhui, recently achieved rapid production. The plant took only 87 days from construction start to the first battery pack rolling off the line, with intelligent production lines assembling one pack every four minutes on average.
This project exemplifies local efforts to attract emerging industries. An official from the Changfeng Investment Promotion Center said the county ensured factor support and proactive services to continuously bring in key supply chain segments.
Technology upgrades in traditional industries are also accelerating. Shanxi Yangquan Valve Co., Ltd. recently overcame core welding technology challenges for ductile iron valves with dissimilar materials, enabling products to withstand high-pressure hydrogen transportation. This shifted the company from general valve manufacturing to high-end new energy specialty valve production.
A company technical leader noted that the breakthrough improved product performance and marked a significant step into the hydrogen energy sector. A Yangquan Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau official said the city is supporting transformation through enterprise services and industry-academia-research collaboration.
In emerging digital industries, Qingyang in Gansu had achieved over 168,000 PFLOPS of intelligent computing capacity by end-June. Leveraging its climate, geology, and green electricity advantages, Qingyang built the country's first pilot project of a million-kilowatt green power direct supply data center, attracting companies including Shanghai Enflame Technology to establish a presence.
Other provinces are also cultivating new quality productive forces based on local conditions. Guangdong is promoting coordinated development of manufacturing and services, Chongqing is strengthening its AI application hub, and Anhui is growing into a quantum industry highland.
