The National Nuclear Safety Administration has approved the second batch of 2026 civil nuclear facility operator license renewal applications, in accordance with the Regulations on the Safety Supervision and Management of Civil Nuclear Facilities and the Provisions on the Qualification Management of Civil Nuclear Facility Operators.

The approval covers a total of 94 personnel from 7 operating units, including Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd.

The National Nuclear Safety Administration also set three nuclear safety management requirements. Operating units must submit renewal applications three months before the expiry of the operator license validity period; fulfill primary responsibilities, implement operator management systems, strengthen post management, and produce annual summary reports.

Operators are required to abide by nuclear safety laws and regulations, uphold professional ethics, strictly follow operating procedures, and eliminate illegal operations and fraud.

The approval was issued on June 24, 2026, with copies to Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Fujian Ningde Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., CNNC Nuclear Power Operations Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Kaibot Technology Co., Ltd., Nuclear Power Institute of China, Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and China Institute of Atomic Energy.
