On June 26, 2026, the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a concluding ceremony for the study class on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance. The ceremony was chaired by Li Lecheng, Party Secretary and Minister of the ministry.
Representatives of leading officials from the ministry's leadership, departmental bureaus, and affiliated units engaged in discussions centered on Xi Jinping's economic thought and the important exposition on Chinese-style modernization, in light of their own work.
The meeting clearly stated the need to make all-out efforts to stabilize industrial economic operation and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone. It also underscored the importance of deepening high-level opening-up and cooperation in the industrial and information technology sectors, guiding industries to go global in an orderly manner and achieve rational global layout, so as to enhance industrial governance capabilities and vigorously promote new industrialization.
The meeting further emphasized strengthening situation analysis and work coordination. It called for early identification, early warning, and early handling of risks, while also enhancing collaboration with relevant departments and local competent authorities to promote a nationally coordinated work approach. Affiliated units were asked to translate their strengths in expertise, platforms, and talents into tangible results for the high-quality development of manufacturing.
Regarding the study campaign itself, the meeting required Party members and cadres to study and implement Xi Jinping's party-building thought and apply the outcomes of the study class, making sustained efforts to integrate learning, inspection, and rectification. Specifically, sustained efforts should be made in deep learning and firm practice, promptly following the latest important speech spirit; in genuine inspection and rectification, solving problems against the ledger and resolutely eliminating paper rectification; and in integrating the study campaign with central work, doing more work that lays foundations, benefits the people, and transforming outcomes into new achievements for promoting high-quality development.
The meeting was attended by leading officials from all departmental bureaus, affiliated units in Beijing, fund companies under the ministry's management, and Party organizations of relevant social organizations.
