The Development and Reform Commission, Education Department, Press and Publication Bureau, and Market Regulation Administration of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have jointly issued the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Pricing Management Measures for Primary and Secondary School Textbooks and Supplementary Materials."

The measures specify provisions on pricing management methods, procedures for price setting and adjustment, and supervision of pricing behavior.

Prices for primary and secondary school textbooks and supplementary materials are subject to government-guided pricing. The price per printed sheet is set or adjusted by the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission in conjunction with the Press and Publication Bureau based on the principle of covering costs with a small profit. The retail price is calculated by each publishing unit using a formula based on not exceeding the price per printed sheet, and submitted to the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, Education Department, and Press and Publication Bureau for approval.
