Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power, held talks with Wan Jinsong, Deputy Administrator of China's National Energy Administration (NEA), in Beijing on June 22. The meeting was arranged by request, and the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on collaboration in the clean energy sector.

Wan noted that ACWA Power is a renowned global clean energy developer with a solid track record of cooperation with Chinese enterprises in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. He explicitly stated that China welcomes ACWA Power to participate in domestic clean energy projects in accordance with market principles and supports its joint efforts with Chinese energy companies to explore third-country markets.

In response, Abunayyan acknowledged that ACWA Power's success is inseparable from the support of its Chinese partners. He expressed the company's intention to increase investment in China's photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen projects, and to collaborate with Chinese energy companies and financial institutions to jointly develop clean energy markets worldwide.

Officials from the NEA's Department of Science and Technology, Department of New Energy, and Department of International Cooperation also attended the meeting.
