The Central China Energy Regulatory Bureau held a meeting on June 17 on regulatory inspections of key power sector issues, and deployed the start of on-site inspection work.

The meeting was organized by the Central China Energy Regulatory Bureau. A responsible official of the bureau attended and addressed the meeting. Responsible officials of relevant power enterprises from Hubei Province, Chongqing Municipality, and the Tibet Autonomous Region participated.

The meeting stressed that taking these regulatory inspections as an opportunity, all units should implement the tasks and requirements set by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration for promoting the reform and development of the power sector. The meeting put forward three requirements: raise political awareness and deeply understand that the regulatory inspections are important measures to consolidate and deepen the effectiveness of comprehensive regulation, serve the development of the power sector, promote the construction of the electricity market, and enhance high-quality development of the industry; strengthen systematic thinking, adhere to goal orientation, problem orientation, and result orientation, accurately grasp the key points of the inspections, focus on critical aspects, and apply efforts precisely; and be diligent and take on responsibilities, further consolidate the primary responsibilities of enterprises, further improve regulatory quality and efficiency, and further strengthen conduct constraints to ensure that the inspections yield real results.

Going forward, the Central China Energy Regulatory Bureau will coordinate and carry out the on-site inspections, consolidate the foundation of power development with strong and effective regulation, and provide solid support for the high-quality energy development of the Central China region.
