The Fujian Energy Regulatory Office recently issued a notice requiring proper work to ensure energy supply during summer peak demand in 2026.

The notice specifies the implementation of a "daily checks, weekly reports, monthly summaries" working mechanism, urging all energy enterprises to heighten their political awareness and firmly shoulder the primary responsibility for safeguarding energy supply.

For power grid enterprises, they are required to strengthen inspection and maintenance of transmission and distribution equipment, scientifically arrange operation modes, and reinforce operation management. For power generation enterprises, they must dynamically track the operating status of main units, minimize unplanned outages and output reductions to the greatest extent, and solidify the ability to meet peak demands. For power supply enterprises, they need to continuously optimize power supply services, and resolutely hold the baseline of ensuring electricity for people's livelihoods and the red line of no "rationed power cuts."

The notice emphasizes that all energy enterprises must firmly assume their primary responsibility for work safety, address frequent extreme meteorological disasters such as typhoons and rainstorms during the summer peak period, strengthen hidden hazard investigation and management, and enhance emergency response capabilities.

The Fujian Energy Regulatory Office will, in the next step, focus on key areas and important periods, urge enterprises to implement all supply guarantee measures, and organize on-site supervision to ensure safe and stable energy operation and reliable electricity supply in Fujian Province during the summer peak period.
