The Jiangsu Energy Regulatory Office recently launched oversight work on natural gas market system development, in conjunction with an on-site inspection of fair openness of oil and gas pipeline facilities.
The oversight is carried out in accordance with the Notice of the General Office of the National Energy Administration on Conducting Oversight of Natural Gas Market System Development in 2026. The inspection team visited Jiangsu Coastal Gas Pipeline Co., Ltd. and held an on-site oversight kick-off meeting on natural gas market system development.
At the meeting, the team listened to the company's report on the progress of some natural gas infrastructure construction, and put forward requirements: first, raise political awareness and ensure that national planning tasks are implemented effectively; second, scientifically coordinate construction organization arrangements to promote orderly project progress; third, strengthen communication and use existing information channels to promptly report key issues and difficulties encountered during construction.
Going forward, the Jiangsu Energy Regulatory Office will focus on tracking and monitoring regional supply security and the progress of gas source access project construction, and will effectively carry out tracking scheduling and problem coordination to ensure projects advance on schedule and promote high-quality development of the natural gas market.
