On June 24, 2026, the National Nuclear Safety Administration issued a notice, under the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Civil Nuclear Safety Equipment and the Provisions on the Administration of Nondestructive Testing Personnel Qualifications for Civil Nuclear Safety Equipment, approving the qualification applications of 488 nondestructive testing personnel from 109 employing organizations, involving a total of 488 qualified items.

Meanwhile, the qualification change applications of 16 nondestructive testing personnel from 7 employing organizations were approved, involving 32 qualified items; the qualification renewal applications of 24 nondestructive testing personnel from 16 employing organizations were approved, involving 26 qualified items.

The notice requires employing organizations to strengthen management of their nondestructive testing personnel, ensuring they perform effective nondestructive testing activities within the scope limited by the qualification certificates. Nondestructive testing personnel shall strictly follow operating procedures when conducting nondestructive testing activities for civil nuclear safety equipment. Both the employing organizations and the nondestructive testing personnel are responsible for the nondestructive testing results.
