The Ministry of Natural Resources has officially issued a notice to coastal departments and affiliated units, releasing the revised Marine Disaster Emergency Plan.

The revision aims to adapt to new situations and requirements in China's marine disaster prevention under the backdrop of global climate change. The notice cites guidance from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on effectively responding to natural disasters such as seawater intrusion and sea level rise, as well as decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council.

The new plan was revised by the Ministry of Natural Resources, and recipient units are required to implement it diligently in light of actual conditions. Concurrently, the 2022 notice (Ziran Ziban Han [2022] No. 1825) is repealed effective immediately.

The notice was issued on June 15, 2026, by the General Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
