The revision of China’s national standard for residential power configuration took a significant step forward with a meeting held in Hangzhou on June 16–17. The session was chaired by the head of the Zhejiang Office of the National Energy Administration.

More than 20 representatives from power grid companies, design institutes, and equipment manufacturers from across the country participated as members of the revision working group and technical experts. During the meeting, the group reported on the feedback received from the public on the draft for comments and explained the adoption status of those comments.

In line with the ‘National Standard Management Measures’ and ‘Guidelines for Standardization – Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standards’ (GB/T 1.1-2009), attendees discussed and deliberated on each comment. Key provisions drawing concentrated feedback and high attention were addressed, covering electricity load classification and power supply configuration, load calculation, power supply modes, siting of distribution rooms, emergency and standby power supply settings, and connection of electric vehicle charging facilities.

After thorough discussion, the meeting reached a consensus on these critical technical points. The gathering was regarded as a landmark event in the revision process, effectively resolving major technical disputes and playing a vital role in enhancing the quality and scientific rationality of the standard.
