The Liaoning Communications Administration recently made new arrangements for emergency communication support during the critical flood period known as 'Seven Down, Eight Up.'
Prior to this, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a national teleconference on emergency communication support for flood prevention and disaster relief, conveying the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the written instructions of Premier Li Qiang, and re-mobilized and redeployed related work nationwide. Following the ministerial meeting, the Liaoning Communications Administration convened a provincial communication industry meeting on emergency communication support for the 'Seven Down, Eight Up' flood period.
The meeting was chaired by Liu Rong, member of the party group, head of the disciplinary inspection group, and deputy director of the Liaoning Communications Administration, who delivered remarks. The meeting first conveyed the notice from the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters office on further improving flood prevention work during the main flood season, then reported on recent inspections of flood preparedness, and conducted a review of the current round of flood-related work.
The meeting emphasized strengthening emergency duty and information reporting, and called for full preparation for the 'Seven Down, Eight Up' critical period. Specific deployments included four requirements: first, consolidate and reinforce the primary responsibilities of enterprises, and ensure leaders command from the front lines; second, comprehensively identify risks and hidden dangers in network operations, and fortify network security; third, strengthen stockpiling of flood prevention supplies to solidify emergency support foundations; fourth, strictly adhere to duty and shift discipline, and enhance the effectiveness of multi-department coordinated response.
Responsible officials from relevant business departments of the Liaoning Communications Administration, as well as deputy general managers and relevant responsible persons from provincial branches of telecommunications enterprises, attended the meeting.
