The North China Energy Regulatory Bureau recently conducted a special power safety inspection at State Grid Tianjin Electric Power High Voltage Company. The inspection focused on preparations for peak summer power supply.

The inspection team examined multiple key items at the company's Intelligent Control Center, Maintenance Base, and Safety Supervision Center. These included the dual prevention mechanism, flood control work plans, safety management rules, emergency response procedures, repair team readiness, the power work permit system, and safety production training. The team also assessed in detail the impact of flood risks in the Haixun Basin during the main flood season on the safety of Tianjin's power grid operations.

For the next phase, the team set four specific requirements. On grid operations, the company must closely monitor system dynamics, take timely and effective measures to ensure safe and stable grid operation in Tianjin, and provide robust power support for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. On flood preparedness, given the severe and complex flood situation this year, monitoring and early warning must be strengthened to effectively prevent extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall from affecting grid safety. On work safety control, the entity responsible for safety must fulfill its primary responsibility, adopt multiple measures to reinforce safety management for grassroots and frontline personnel, and further strengthen the red-line awareness. On information reporting, the company must pay close attention to disastrous weather and basin-wide flood conditions, enhance emergency duty arrangements, ensure smooth information channels, and promptly report any emergencies in a truthful manner.

The North China Energy Regulatory Bureau stated it will continue to urge power enterprises to strictly implement all flood control and flood season tasks, ensure the safe and stable operation of key plants, stations, lines, and equipment, effectively prevent personal injury or death accidents in the power sector, and comprehensively carry out all safety production work during the peak summer period.
